CPP
Characteristic
CPP film is produced from PP resin using lamination technology. It offers high transparency, excellent flexibility, strong heat-sealing properties, and good moisture resistance. CPP film is ideal for lamination with other films such as BOPP, PET, or LDPE, enhancing moisture resistance, tear resistance, and grease resistance.
Due to these properties, CPP film is widely used in food packaging, including confectionery, instant noodles, and frozen foods. It serves as the inner layer in multi-layer packaging structures, ensuring mechanical durability and flexibility.
Procedure
CPP production process:
Material Preparation:
Polypropylene (PP) resin is used as the main material, along with additives such as heat stabilizers, antioxidants, or agents to enhance gloss and transparency.
Extrusion Process:
The PP resin is fed into an extruder where it is heated to a high temperature (typically around 200-250°C). The molten plastic is then pushed through a die to form a thin film layer.
Film Rolling Process:
The molten plastic film is evenly spread onto a metal roller surface to cool and shape the film. The roller continuously rotates to ensure that the film has uniform thickness and a smooth surface.
Stretching and Treatment:
The film is stretched either horizontally or vertically to achieve the necessary physical properties, such as tensile strength and flexibility. Surface treatments may also be applied to improve printability or bonding with other layers.
Winding and Cutting:
After processing, the CPP film is wound into large rolls. The film can be cut into various sizes or widths based on customer requirements.
Quality Control:
The film undergoes inspection to verify criteria such as thickness, transparency, mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and flatness to ensure the product meets quality standards.
MCPP
Characteristic
MCPP film is produced by applying a metallic coating to CPP film using metalizing technology. It features a glossy, metallic appearance and excellent light-blocking properties. Additionally, MCPP stands out for its superior moisture resistance, oxidation protection, and optimal product preservation.
This film is commonly laminated with other materials such as PET, BOPP, or LDPE to create multi-layer packaging structures that are both visually appealing and highly protective. Due to these advantages, MCPP is widely used in premium food packaging, including snacks, confectionery, coffee, tea, and products requiring extended shelf life.
Procedure
MCPP film is produced based on standard CPP film, with an additional metalizing step to create superior features. This metalizing process involves applying a thin layer of metal (usually aluminum) onto the surface of the CPP film. This step enhances the film’s barrier properties, including light resistance, moisture resistance, and oxidation prevention. The metalized layer also gives the film a glossy, metallic appearance, making it ideal for high-end packaging applications that require both aesthetic appeal and product protection.
